Well the decorations will be coming down shortly and we will be closing for a few days to give the building some TLC. We are closed from Monday 7th, reopening on Friday 11th Jan 4pm. The walls are having a lick of paint and hopefully our drive is having a tidy up too (weather permitting). We are also having ‘super-fast’ broadband installed, so it will be even easier to work from home, from the comfort of the pub! With your support 2018 has been a fabulous year for us and we are very excited about what 2019 will bring. We wish you all a a wonderful year too.

New Years Eve – This year the pub will be open as per usual until 1am (no tickets). We will have live jazz in the bar and some delicious specials on the menu, including oysters and beef Wellington. We just have a couple of tables left at 6pm.

January and February Opening – From Monday 14th January until the end of February on Mondays and Tuesdays we will be closed at lunch time and open from 4pm until 10pm for drinks only i.e there will be no food service on Mondays or Tuesdays. From March we will be back to normal. This will not effect Meet Up Mondays, which will still happen every Monday from 14th January, 9am – 11am.

Supper and Quiz Night – Our next quiz will be on Thursday 24th Jan. There will a delicious two course supper and a fun pub quiz of seven rounds. £18 per person, teams of four to six people. Did You Know – We are pretty green at The Turks Head.
The building and our water are heated by a biomass boiler. We only use biodegradable cleaning solutions and we now have two 7kw car charging points in the carpark – Free to use whilst you visit us. Our food miles are pretty low as we buy most of our produce from local suppliers. Our bread flour comes from Woodbridge Tide Mill. Our meat and eggs are all free range. We have been using paper straws for quite a while now and we recycle as much as we can. This year we will continue to improve on this further.
